The history of Porto Seguro begins on April 22, 1500, when Pedro Álvares Cabral's squadron saw from a distance a rounded elevation - Monte Pascoal, that lies south from Porto Seguro. In search for a safe place to moor, .this was the beginning of Porto Seguro. more history
Since the 70's Porto Seguro has seen a great influx of investments and consequently tourism activity boomed. The main attractions today are the scenery, the generous warm weather, and a mix of great food, drink, music, dancing Lambada good looking people, and the famous " relaxed bahian way of life".
Despite the large number of hotels and pousadas and apartments, accommodation in Porto Seguro should be arranged prior to arrival because of the large number of visitors that come to Porto Seguro. Bahia is one of the most visited destinations, it attracted over 2.5 million tourists last year. The year 2011 will be even bigger.
The holiday condominium consists of three, small villas, each with three bedrooms, two double bedrooms and a single with bunk beds, downstairs in two of the villas there is a kitchen/diner and separate living area, the third is open plan but more spacious overall. All have shared car parking space and on the other side is a private outside patio for each villa.
